Your GB-issued Pet Passport can still be used as proof of rabies vaccine status for your Animal Health Certificate. Animal Health Certificates have replaced Pet Passports as the documents required for travel into and around the EU for dogs, cats and ferrets travelling from Great Britain. You can travel with up to five pets on the same Animal Health Certificate. From 1st January 2021 your GB-issued Pet Passport is no longer valid for travel to the EU or Northern Ireland. EU or Northern Ireland-issued Pet Passports, where the rabies vaccine is given by an EU vet and up-to-date are still valid for travel.
